The Team

We have some new and old faces added back to our team, some from over 10 years ago! Having those familiar faces return has been a real nod to the importance of our core values and we’re glad to have them back. We’ve added an additional Parts Technician, Millwright and Welding Apprentices, and SolidWorks Designers.

Our additional SolidWorks Designers are going to help eliminate bottlenecks and keep us ahead as it relates to drafting for our manufacturing and assembly process.

Everyone at GenTex Industries that does a weld test, whatever material it may be, has their test evaluated and retained for quality control and quality assurance. So our welding team leaders have been onboarding our new welders and quite literally putting them to the test!

From Garett

This spring, a neighbour’s Highland bull was successful at his job and now several calves are filling up their acreage. Nice neighbour that he is, Garett has decided to go back to his roots and take up bull riding. Just kidding. But he is now the proud foster parent of an ornery bull. Here’s to the strength of the fence and the fortitude of both Garett and the new Highland bull, Jeddi, in the coming months as they get used to one another.

In the Community

The annual CAEP dinner was held this quarter and, as a board member of the Red Deer Airport Authority, Garett attended. CAEP, Central Alberta Economic Partnership, promotes economic development and investment attraction into the Central Alberta community. With the investment of 45 million dollars from the province, City of Red Deer, and Red Deer County over the last two years, the Red Deer Airport is destined to be a major economic driver in our region. Local and provincial politicians as well as business and community leaders are excited about what’s coming next for the airport and the region.

And it looks like we have another big quarter ahead of us! As always, give us a call at (403) 341-4155 or email us at sales@gentex.ca for your next build, repair, or redesign. We’ll be here, happy to help.
