We are looking for a 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice Welder to join our Team.
Your Responsibilities:
Use GMAW, SMAW, GTAW, TIG and aluminum welding processes to fabricate, fit, and assemble components for custom fabrications
Read and understand manufacturing drawings
Safely operate manual or semi-manual welding equipment to fuse metal pieces
Ensure welds meet specifications and meet or exceed quality standards
Assist with shipping and receiving of materials
Other duties as assigned
Your Qualifications:
Registered 2nd or 3rd year Apprentice Welder
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Aluminum welding experience an asset
Overhead Crane experience an asset
Confined Space training an asset
Forklift certification an asset
Proficient and precise workmanship

We are looking for a highly motivated, extremely organized Project Estimator with manufacturing experience to join our Team.
Your Responsibilities:
Create accurate and timely estimates and quotes for GenTex customers
Calculate costs associated with materials, labour, parts and third-party services to build GenTex equipment
Work with sales representative to liaise with customers and develop initial Scope of Work
Ensure quotes and estimates are followed up in a timely manner
Build and maintain working relationships with vendors; ensure up to date and best pricing
Work with the manufacturing team to determine delivery date
Prepare change orders and ensure written approval is obtained
Develop and maintain quotes and estimate lists including award rates and margins
Track performance on sales and provide accurate reporting to management
Develop efficient and accurate estimating processes and procedures
Set an example by adhering to safety and quality guidelines
Your Qualifications:
Minimum two years of relevant experience in related business such as vehicle upfitting, truck or trailer manufacturing, heavy duty repair; related inside sales an asset
Familiarity with project planning and management principles to align cost estimates with project timelines and resources
Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and other project documentation to produce accurate and timely estimates and proposals
Highly proficient with MS Office; expert level Excel user
Hands on experience establishing highly efficient processes and procedures; able to identify and evaluate potential cost risks
Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, co-workers, and vendors
Excellent organizational, decision-making, problem-solving, and customer service skills
Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills; able to handle multiple duties confidently
Able to work effectively independently, taking initiative as required while coordinating with other team members
