  • We are looking for a 3rd or 4th year Apprentice or Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) to join our Team.

    We offer our Apprentice Industrial Mechanic (Millwrights)…

    • ”Averaging Arrangement” Work Schedule (Every 2nd Friday Off) &

    • Apprentice Tuition Reimbursement Program

    and we have a Top-Notch Air Exchange System to reduce exposure to fumes

    Your Responsibilities:

    • Perform tasks including but not limited to hydraulics and pneumatics systems, DC electrical systems, data acquisition systems and pump rebuilds; retrofits and repairs

    • Assemble new equipment builds to GenTex quality standards

    • Ensure all work meets or exceeds quality standards

    • Follow instructions; work cohesively with Journeymen/Supervisor

    • Other duties as assigned

    Your Qualifications:

    • 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice or Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic

    • Understanding of and experience with hydraulics and pneumatics systems, DC electrical systems, data acquisition systems and pump rebuilds

    • Ability to understand diagrams and drawings to determine work procedures

    • Valid Driver’s License with clean Driver’s Abstract

    • Overhead Crane experience an asset

    • Confined Space training an asset

    • Strength and stamina, with the ability to perform physically demanding tasks

    • Safety attitude! Able to safely operate a variety of tools, equipment, and machinery

    • Very good time management and organizational skills

    Your Responsibilities:

    • Fit, fabricate and assemble components for custom fabrications

    • Read and understand manufacturing drawings

    • Safely operate manual or semi-manual welding equipment to fuse metal pieces

    • Ensure welds meet specifications and meet or exceed quality standards

    • Assist with shipping and receiving of materials

    • Other duties as assigned

    Your Qualifications:

    • Registered Apprentice Welder

    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

    • Steady hands and excellent hand-eye coordination

    • Overhead Crane experience an asset

    • Confined Space training an asset

    • Forklift certification an asset

    • Proficient and precise workmanship

    Your Key Attributes and Competencies:

    • Strength and stamina; with the ability to perform physically demanding tasks

    • Safety attitude! Able to safely operate a variety of tools, equipment, and machinery

    • Excellent time management and organizational skills

    • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
